     Scholars are something of an anomaly in the adventuring world. They are relatively weak with poor combat skills, often lacking subtlety and physical ability. Scholars excel however in all things related to learning. Scholars are driven by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and will go to great lengths to attain it. Scholars who adventure do so to gain experience and peruse dusty old tomes and lost learning unavailable elsewhere. Surrounding themselves with fighters and others who bear the brunt of any hostilities, scholars bring their wisdom and intelligence to the party. The ability to decipher runes, mix alchemical concoctions and speak multiple languages is an important asset. Also, although scholars lack magical ability, they do have the ability to scribe scrolls, which can assist their magic-using companions. Many scholars however seek fulfillment in town, making potions, scrolls and other items adventurers always seem to need. These same adventurers are usually more than willing to sell these scholars the old "useless" scrolls and books they come across.
